What Services Are Covered Through This Program?

The VA Aid & Attendance Program can help with:

  • Personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation
  • Help around the home, including transportation and light housekeeping
  • Personalized Care for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and other dementia-related conditions
  • Ongoing companionship and safety monitoring to support independence and peace of mind

Who Can Benefit from This Program?

Eligibility for the VA Aid and Attendance pension benefit is determined by Veterans Affairs. However, if you or your spouse are over 65 and served during the Korean War, World War II, Vietnam War, or Gulf War, you may qualify for this meaningful support.

Once approved, the program can provide up to 20 hours of in-home care each week—at no cost to you.
